Theresa has over 37 years of China experience starting in 1983 and including 5 years living in China in the 1990’s. Whilst in China, she established, grew and sold the first sandwich business and with a TEFL qualification, taught English to trainee teachers and the local business community in rural Hubei. She has written a French language textbook for Mandarin speakers. In addition to her role with Engage with China she is currently joint CEO of Chopsticks Club, the UK’s oldest China-UK professionals’ network and a trustee of the Mulan Foundation Network recognising the global achievements of Chinese women. She is a qualified lawyer and when she practised, specialised in Corporate Finance. She has a masters in Energy, Environmental Technology & Economics.

H-J Colston-Inge is Joint CEO of Chopsticks Club and a regular speaker on China. Through cultural training, keynote speeches, panel discussions and events, she has been building cultural literacy about China from the boardroom to the classroom since 1993. She designed and delivered a “Doing Business in China” course at Pearson Business School. She was invited to meet President Xi Jinping during his state visit to the UK in 2015 in recognition of her work in building China-UK relations. She has a degree in Chinese Studies from the University of Durham.
