Engage with China is a UK registered educational charity committed to building China literacy and skills amongst young people in the UK. EwC activities have enriched the learning of more than 5,500 young people, giving them a global experience in the classroom that have expanded their minds and life opportunities. With your help we can give even more young people an enriched curriculum to empower them to consider their identity in a shifting world and to discover more about the impact of China – past and present – on their lives.
We know this is a tough time for many but your donation could change lives.

Frequently Asked Questions
+ Why does EwC need my money now?
The world feels volatile at the moment and China-related skills are lacking in the UK. Our school engagement breaks down barriers, fosters diversity and inclusion and builds tolerance in our communities here at home. Engage with China relies entirely on philanthropic giving and individual donations to carry out its work to build a pipeline of China-skilled young people. We need your help.
+ How will my donation be used?
Your donation will ensure as many young people as possible have the opportunity to discover something of China for themselves, build their global awareness and attain greater educational equity.
Your donation could go towards funding:
- China Challenge Days in a state school reaching 100 pupils at a time
- Bursaries to help an Engage with China scholar with miscellaneous costs e.g. uniform, return travel to the airport, cultural excursion in China that might otherwise prevent them from accepting a place on the scholarship programme
- Chinese New Year celebrations in the UK bringing Chinese culture and tradition to a wider audience
- Wider China-related opportunities including visits, holiday camps, educational exchange or cultural heritage partnerships
